# $QUILL

**`What is $QUILL?`**

**$QUILL** is central to **Quill**’s governance and liquidity model, allowing users to participate in decision-making and earn rewards for contributing to the protocol.

DAO users inherently have a vested interest in the protocol’s success, since they are token holders. By distributing governance power, **Quill** ensures that the long-term health of the ecosystem aligns with the interests across the community.

**$QUILL** rewards will accrue to Stability Providers , the users who deposit **$USDQ** to the Stability Pool and liquidity providers of the USDQ:ETH pool.

**`How is $QUILL distributed?`**

To ensure fair allocation and long term alignment with community growth, **$QUILL** will be distributed as follows:

* Community & Growth (DAO) 40%
* Team 22%
* Advisors 3%
* Liquidity & Incentives 20%
* Investors 10%
* BOLD & Liquity AG 5%

Unlock Mechanism: Both team members and investors will be subject to a 3-month cliff, followed by an 18-month linear unlock, to align incentives with long-term growth and stability.

**`How can I use $QUILL?`**

**$QUILL** can be staked for voting power and bribes, influencing the future of the protocol.
